Rates and rental periods

Our weekly rates are based on the season, are in US dollars, and are paid to us in the USA.

We can lock off the downstairs bedroom suite and offer a discount of $100 per week if you are a smaller group and want to rent only the main upstairs area of the apartment (living room, kitchen, terrace, two bedrooms, bathroom).

We also offer a discount for extended stays of three weeks or more; contact us for details.

For most of the year, we rent Saturday to Saturday. In July and August, we rent Monday to Monday.

Our normal arrival time is 4:00 pm and the normal check-out time is 10:00 am.

We’re sorry it’s not practical for us to rent for shorter time periods, unless designated on our availability calendar. However, if you can only stay five or six nights during the week, you will likely still find that our rental is more economical than a hotel.

What’s included

The price includes all towels and bed linens, utilities, and WIFI. Cleaning products and a starter supply of toilet paper, paper towels, and coffee and tea are also included; however, you need to bring your own personal products like shampoo and soap. The rental price includes the cleaning after your stay; we’ll provide information related to our checkout process and what you need to do before your departure.

For stays of two weeks or more, our housekeeper will visit at the end of each week to change sheets and towels and do some light cleaning.

Deposits and payments

We ask for a 25% deposit to confirm your booking. We prefer payment by personal check, but we do accept Pay Pal from guests from outside the USA.

The balance is due 60 days before the first day of the rental.

Once we have your final payment, we’ll forward directions, the code to our key lockbox, and final information about the apartment.

We do not ask for a security deposit. We prefer to operate on an honor system for reimbursing us for any damages.

Cancellation policy

If you cancel more than 60 days before your stay, the deposit is forfeited. If you cancel within the 60 days, the full amount is forfeited. However, if we can find another renter at the same price, we’ll return all but $100 for an administrative/handling fee. We strongly recommend travel insurance!

Other policies and information

  • This is strictly a non-smoking apartment.
  • No pets permitted.
  • The apartment is not suitable or equipped for small children, and we have a minimum age of seven years.
  • Because of the stairs in the apartment, we don’t recommended our apartment for people with mobility issues.
  • We welcome up to five guests in a group.

How to Book

We want to get to know the people who book our apartment, and we also want to be sure the apartment is right for you. For these reasons we don’t have automatic bookings. Check our calendar to see if your preferred dates are available, then email us with any questions or to make a reservation. We’re also happy to schedule a phone conversation if that would be helpful.
